Transactions and Refunds on Niyo Cards

Hi @SRISHTI_singh,

Thank you for taking the time to connect with us on the call. We’re glad to know that you’ve received the funds, along with the transaction charges back to your account. Regarding the TCS limit, it may take 7–10 working days to reset. If it doesn’t update within this timeframe, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us—we’ll be happy to assist further.

Thank you for solving the issue …really appreciated

Hey @SRISHTI_singh

So glad to hear that! :tada: We truly appreciate your kind words. :blue_heart: If you ever face any issues in the future, please feel free to write to us — we’ll always be happy to help you out. :handshake::sparkles:

Hi Team,

I had raised a complaint regarding unauthorized transactions on my Niyo SBM card, and I was provided Ticket ID. Two days ago, I received a call from Niyo support assuring me that the matter would be looked into. However, there has been no written communication, no update on the ticket, and no clarity from SBM Bank on the next steps.

Given the seriousness of the issue, I request:

  1. Written confirmation that my complaint is being processed.

  2. Clear timelines for investigation/chargeback.

  3. Assurance that the case is being handled in line with RBI guidelines on unauthorized electronic transactions.

Requesting an urgent update here so there is transparency and accountability.

Hey @Anurag_Gupta2

We completely understand your concern. :folded_hands: As per our previous conversation, we see that you’ve already raised a complaint directly with SBM Bank, and the complaint ID is still under review. We’re currently awaiting a response from the bank and will keep a close follow-up on this. :envelope_with_arrow:

In case you’d like to receive an official confirmation from Niyo as well, we kindly request you to drop us an email at global.escalation@goniyo.com mentioning your complaint ID. Once done, please share the ticket ID here so that we can revert on the same email thread for your records.

We truly appreciate your patience and cooperation while this is being resolved. Rest assured, we’re closely tracking this and will ensure you’re updated with every development. :white_check_mark:

Hey @Hemandh_Babu

We tried reaching you over a call but couldn’t connect. Regarding your declined UPI transaction, we request you to kindly wait for the standard TAT of 2–3 working days :hourglass_not_done: for the amount to be automatically reversed to your source account.

In case the refund is not received within this timeline, please write back to us, and we’ll be happy to check further and assist you.

Can you call me now??

Sure @Hemandh_Babu, kindly allow us a window to connect with you and assist you further.

Hi, I recently used my Niyo Forex card for a €25 recharge in Ireland, and a 20% TCS was applied. However, I was under the impression that Niyo cards don’t attract TCS for small international transactions, especially for travel use. Could you please clarify why TCS was charged and whether this can be reversed? My friend used the same card and wasn’t charged. Kindly assist.

Hey @Hemandh_Babu

We tried reaching out to you but unfortunately couldn’t connect. Please note that a 20% TCS (Tax Collected at Source) will be deducted on every international transaction :credit_card::globe_showing_europe_africa:. For spends within ₹7 Lakhs in a financial year, the deducted amount will be automatically refunded within 1–2 business days. :white_check_mark:

For transactions beyond this threshold, the TCS amount can be claimed through refund/adjustment while filing your Income Tax Return (ITR) :receipt::light_bulb:

We hope this clarifies your concern. For any further queries, feel free to connect with us — we’re here to help! :blue_heart:
