I am facing persistent issues in accessing my account.
I opened my Niyo bank account over two years ago while I was in India, and I initially had no issues using the application. However, during my travels abroad, I encountered a restriction that prevented me from using the app. Since then, I have lost access to my registered mobile number, which has further complicated the situation.
I have been in the UK for almost two years now, and I have found that many other users in the community are facing similar issues regarding the inability to update their mobile numbers. Despite raising these concerns in the community forums, it appears that the IT and support teams have been aware of this problem for over two years without a viable solution.
It is concerning that it takes such an extended period to address a fundamental issue that affects numerous customers. Many students and traveler’s, like myself, are at risk of losing their registered mobile numbers, and it is essential for an application like Niyo to have a robust system in place to handle these changes.
Furthermore, I have access to my email and receive transaction notifications, yet I am unable to receive OTPs via email to access my account. This situation has left my funds trapped, causing significant frustration and dissatisfaction.
I urge you to take my complaint seriously and provide a timely resolution. I would appreciate an update on this matter as soon as possible, as my funds are currently inaccessible and this has caused considerable inconvenience.

To successfully update your mobile number, please follow these steps specifically for your SBM account:
Bank Level Update:
If you need to change your mobile number at the bank level, you’ll need to submit these documents:
- A self-attested copy of your PAN card.
- A copy of your driving license.
Please email these documents to global@goniyo.com from your registered email ID. Once we receive them, we will send them to our bank team to get your mobile number updated in their system.
App Level Update:
- For Postpaid Users: Please provide a copy of your monthly bill showing the new number registered in your name.
- For Prepaid Users: A copy of the payment invoice or receipt reflecting your new number is needed.
Once you have the necessary document, send it via email to global@goniyo.com from your registered email ID.
We know these processes can feel a bit cumbersome, but they are important for keeping your account secure. Once the verification is complete, we’ll make sure your mobile number and email are updated without delay.

As u said, to update mobile no. We have to provide self attested pan and driving license. But, I don’t have a license in such case what should i provide to the bank.
