Hi @Shivanand_H_Nannuri,

It sounds like you’re having trouble with your Niyo Global DCB Bank card. To resolve this, please ensure that the international transactions feature is enabled in your Niyo Global app. You can find this option under “Card Locks.”

If you’ve already enabled this feature and are still experiencing issues, please let us know. We’ll investigate further to help get things sorted out.

Thank you for your patience!

Im taking a flight in a week for my masters in Ireland. Im taking about a considerable amount in hard cash but i also want to take one forex card as well. I got to know about the amazing features and advantages of using a Niyo Global DCB debit card as my primary ForEx but im just wondering if it all applies to ireland as well and it ca be used in international ATMs at ireland. Im aware of the international ATM charges but i just want to make sure if it will work.

Also i got the card and enabled International toggle but if there is anything else to do in the app for me to be able to use the Niyo Global DCB Debit card while abroad please let me know!!!

Hi @Sriram_R,

Welcome to the Niyo Community! :raised_hands:

The Niyo Global DCB Debit Card works in over 180 countries, so you can use it wherever Visa services are accepted, including in Ireland. You’ll be able to use your card for both purchases and ATM withdrawals while abroad.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  1. International Transactions: With the international toggle enabled, your card is set for use abroad. You’re all set to make transactions and withdrawals with ease.
  2. ATM Withdrawals: Your card will work at ATMs in Ireland. Each international ATM withdrawal incurs a fee of ₹425 plus 18% GST. Please be aware that additional charges from the ATM issuer may apply, which we cannot foresee.

If you have any more questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out. We’re here to ensure you have a smooth experience!

Bon voyage and best wishes for a successful academic adventure in Ireland! :earth_africa::books:

Thank you for the reply back.
I have a question regarding the ATM transaction fees. So let’s say i withdraw about 1000 euros which i believe is 93k as of today’s value. The ATM charge is 425 and the GST 18% is of the 93k or 425?
Cause 18% of 93k is about 17k which is super expensive.
Please do clarify that for me

Hi @Sriram_R ,

The 18% GST applies to the ATM withdrawal fee of 425 rupees, not to the total withdrawal amount of 93,000 rupees. Therefore, the GST will be 18% of 425 rupees, approximately 76.50 rupees, rather than 17,000 rupees.

I hope this clarifies. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to ask. We’re here to help.

Thanks for sharing this . As per shared PDF it looks like 3 ATM withdrawal in abroad in one quarter are free
Kindly confirm from your end as well.

Sure thing! With your Niyo card, you get the first 3 ATM withdrawals free each quarter. You’ll see the withdrawal fee charged initially, but don’t worry—it’s credited back to your Niyo account as Niyo coins. You can use these coins for cool in-app perks like flight bookings, VISA purchases, and more.

Is that Niyo dcb bank allowed to deposit cash in nearest dcb branch?

Hi @hemalpatel ,

Greetings of the day.

We’d like to clarify that Niyo DCB accounts are designed as online accounts, which means we do not support cash deposits at any branch, including DCB branches. For cash handling, we recommend exploring alternative methods such as digital payments or transfers.
