I had created a Niyo glocal DCB debit account with a card last year when I was moving to Greece. It worked perfectly, but now the SIM card of the registered mobile number I used to create my account has been deactivated. The app was working fine and I was able to make transactions through the app still as the OTP would come to the registered email address. However, just today, the app says that I have to refresh my login pin and that the app is locked and that it will send OTP to my registered phone number and email address. I thought that since I have my registered email ID, everything will be fine, however it is only sending the OTP to the phone number that I do not have anymore, and not the email address, so I cannot use any facilities from the app. Nor can I set up the app on my new phone and log in again. Please tell me how to change my registered mobile number. I have my registered email address and everything else, including my debit card, the CVV code, and the PIN code for the card. I looked it up on this community and many people have been facing these issues with change in mobile number, which is expected as it is stupid to expect that the Indian phone number would remain active when students are living abroad and using the Niyo card. Nevertheless I hope the Niyo team can help me in a professional manner. I have been able to change my phone number to my new one in every single official update in India, from my local bank account to my AADHAAR card and driving license, and I believe that if Niyo indeed does not have any provision for me to access my account in case of loss of phone number or in any case like the phone being stolen, it is downright shameful. So please get back to me soon, as this is an urgent matter.
Hi @arnablahiry,
Welcome to the Niyo Community!
We completely understand how crucial it is for you to access your account while abroad. Let’s get your login issues sorted out with these simple steps:
- Uninstall and reinstall the app.
- Enter your mobile number to trigger an OTP. You’ll see an option for “More ways to log in.”
- Select “App Login Resolution Guide.”
- Enter your PAN details followed by your passcode.
- If you’ve forgotten your passcode, click on “Forgot Passcode” after entering your PAN.
- You’ll be directed to the verification page; click on “Reset Passcode.”
- Enter a new passcode and give logging in another try.
This should help you regain access to your Niyo Global account!
