We understand your query and how useful lounge access would be during your onward journey. To clarify, the complimentary international lounge access benefit is unlocked only after completing international spends of ₹50,000 or more in a calendar quarter on POS or ECOM transactions using a single Niyo Card.
If you’re able to meet the spending criteria before your travel, you’ll be eligible to generate the lounge pass for your onward trip in October. We truly appreciate your understanding.
That’s such a great question — thank you for bringing it up!
Here’s the clarity you’re looking for
Yes! If you use your Niyo debit card to pay for hotel bookings on any third-party website (like Booking.com, Agoda, or Expedia) and the hotel is located outside India, it will be considered an international transaction — even if you make the booking while in India.
About lounge access:
To unlock airport lounge access with your Niyo card, simply spend ₹50,000 internationally (via POS or ECOM transactions) in a calendar quarter using any one of your Niyo cards.
Just a heads-up: spending across multiple cards won’t combine toward the ₹50K threshold. We hope this clears it up! Feel free to drop your next travel query here — we love helping our travelers make the most of their Niyo experience
I hope you are doing well. I am posting here to share a concern that I am experiencing once again regarding my lounge access pass.
This time, I noticed that the lounge pass appears to be counted for the current quarter even though I did not generate or request it. When I contacted chat support, I was again informed that it can only be used in this quarter, similar to the previous issue I faced. Last time the adjustment was made according to the travel date, but this problem should not happen again and again, every time we have to report the same issue. i hope the team will prioritize customer satisfaction rather than insisting customers use passes in the same way quarter.
As customers, we sometimes need to book our flights months in advance to save money and plan our travel properly. Because of this, having the lounge pass available for the actual travel date becomes very important. A little flexibility in such situations would genuinely help many travellers.
I kindly request the team to please look into my case and help regenerate or adjust the lounge access pass for my upcoming travel on 24th February 2026. I also have a 10-hour layover at Hong Kong Airport, so lounge access on the correct date would be extremely helpful and comforting.
I truly appreciate your understanding and hope that customer convenience can be taken into consideration in such cases. Thank you for your time and support. @Nith_In@jagadeesh7
Thank you for sharing this in detail — we truly understand how important the correct lounge pass date is, especially with advance travel plans and long layovers. We’re really sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Please allow us some time to get this checked with the concerned team. We’ll get back to you with an update at the earliest. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We’d like to share that the lounge facility is applicable only within the same quarter in which you complete international spends of ₹50,000 (via ECOM or POS) using any Niyo card.
As this benefit is quarter-specific, we won’t be able to carry it forward to the next quarter. However, you can absolutely make use of it in the current one.
That said, we’ve noted your feedback and will be happy to share it with the concerned team for consideration, if feasible. We truly appreciate your understanding!
Is it possible to extend at least 20 more days to the next quarter, meaning until the 20th of January? There should be at least some flexibility; otherwise, there is no point in making transactions with the card if customers are unable to claim lounge passes according to their convenience.
Honestly I didn’t understand quarter specific benefit meaning because not everyone can spend 50000 INR every quarter to have lounge access. So there should be atleast flexibility as per customer travel plans.
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern . We understand the need for flexibility; however, the lounge benefit is applicable only within the same calendar quarter in which the eligible international spends are completed. Unfortunately, we’re unable to extend the validity to the next quarter.
You can still utilize the lounge access within the current quarter , and we truly appreciate your understanding. Rest assured, we’ve shared your feedback with the concerned team for future consideration . If you need any further help, feel free to connect — we’re here for you!
I want to raise a important issue regarding issue of loung pass at the end of the quarter of spending Rs 50000/- .
The lounge pass issued gets expired after 30 days of its generation.
My issue is that why it should expire after one month of generation. After all, one is spending Rs 50000/- internationally to get it . let it be there in the system or get accumulated till the time one utilizes it / them at international airport lounges at the time of his visit. This will help a foreign Indian tourist to enjoy the trip. Let there be no cut off date of its expiry after lounge pass generation.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback with us. We truly appreciate you speaking up about the lounge pass expiry policy. We completely understand how important it is to have lounge passes remain available beyond just 30 days after generation, especially when you’ve invested Rs 50,000 internationally.
Please know that your feedback means a lot to us, and we’ll be passing it along to the right teams to explore how we can enhance this experience in the future. We’re always looking for ways to serve you better and make your travel as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
If there’s anything else on your mind or if you need any assistance with your current lounge passes, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always here to listen and support you!
If I spent more than 50k to book hotels on international websites in Jan 2026 and planning to travel in April 2026. Will I able to avail free lounge access in Apr 2026?
Thank you for checking this with us. Please note that the international spending requirement for free lounge access needs to be met within the same quarter. Since January falls in Q1 and April is in Q2, the spends made in January won’t count toward your eligibility for April.
You would need to meet the spending criteria in the quarter you plan to travel (April–June) to avail the benefit. If you need any further clarity, feel free to ask!
