@Bansari Thank you for your reply. Iāll be leaving for Germany from Delhi on 28th August. I hope that it will be live till that time.
I have another Saving account with SBM bank, when I tried to open niyo SBM global account, app showed that ckyc not matched. Please help me to open Niyo SBM global account. Iām going to Georgia in September end for my studies
Some points regarding the beta version. First of all I am sorry I couldnāt use the card much before, so these points might have already been addressed.
-
I am on V1.0.1(46) and the transaction page isnāt getting updated. The only transaction it shows is the 5k one for ordering card.
-
The app still asks me to order the NIYO card.
-
While doing ATM withdrawal, I get a message that āunable to process dynamic currency conversionā and then there is an option where I choose āconvert as per VISA/MasterCardā¦ā something like this.
Is this normal? -
I have found that the limit set for contact less transaction doesnāt work always. I tried this by doing a payment which is over my set limit and it worked . While the next time it didnāt work. Please look into this. Maybe server or app bug.
As of now, this is it. Iāll post more once I use it more.
Thanks for reading
even Iām facing the same issue.
Hi @ashrithjain Could you please tell me why my Niyo SBM card is getting declined at convenience stores here in USA? Also, how can I send funds to my US bank account via the app?
Thanks
@Anubhav_Routray ,
Thanks for providing your feedback on using SBM card. PFB my response :
- You may have to refresh the page 1-2 time to get the updated transactions. We are working on it to make a smooth experience but till that happens, pull down the page to get the txns.
- Yeah, thats a bug. ignore that for now. We will get it removed for all the users.
- This is normal and has been done by us deliberately. DCC( dynamic currency conversion) results in the user charged as high as 7% markup by the ATM bank whereas convert as per VISA/Mastercard saves you these charges. We had a lot of angry customers blaming us for these charges which wasnāt true, these charges went directly to the ATM bank . We took a decision to block DCC in the interest of the customers. Who would not like to save some money ?
- Contactless limits mentioned(5k) is for domestic only. For international contactless txns, these limits are dependent on the local law. Please check the law for the country you are in. DM me if the limits are working as per the expectations
hai i have created my account an now am not able to order my card .its showing error and please try again later .as per ur customer care i refreshed the page nothing happened,i unistalled and insatlled it ,then also nothing hapend.
my name: anoop Alexander
please look into the matter an please get iot solved asap
@Bansari I tried to withdraw cash from an ATM with my Niyo Global SBM debit card. My card was active at the time and atm withdrawal was enabled as well. The transaction was declined everytime. I tried transacting at an SBI ATM and then at an HDFC atm. In both cases, the transaction was declined. I also verified that the ATMs had money.
Hi team,
Thanks for introducing this new version.
I tried singing up on the app and I entered every information asked PAN, DOB, Place of Birth and the signature as well and it concluded that my ckyc does not met the requirements. Unfortunately, I am not onboarded and account does not created.
So, now I have given all my important and personal information on the app as I am not receiving the service and in few days I will not be present in India anymore as I am travelling abroad , and I want my given information to be deleted or tell me where and how it will be used or it is still saved as whenever i login with mobile number it is showing ckyc not valid so it means information is still present,
I hope you understand my concern and reply as soon as possible.
And please do tell if there is any hope of opening of account.

Hi @ashrithjain, @Bansari & @Sai -
Iāve now used the Niyo SBM card a couple of times in JP and the US and had absolutely no issues. Thereās just 1 thing that I felt needs to be added in the UI experience. I see that the Niyo DCB app has this feature so implementing it should not be a hassle.
Suggestion - Add the transaction amount in both INR and the Foreign Currency. For example, this is a transaction I did for 100 JPY and all I can see is the info in INR.
In the longer run, I wouldnāt remember the actual amount I transacted in the foreign currency if I ever needed to go back and check my expenses. Niyo DCB App shows the actual conversion rate that was applicable on that transaction which is a really nifty feature. Please bring it back
Hi @gsaisirish,
