Ask anything Niyo Card here!

Hi @srim,

Welcome to the Niyo Community! :raised_hands:

1. We would like to inform you that an amount equivalent up to Rs. 1,00,000 can be withdrawn per transaction/day in AED,

2. As VISA rates fluctuate daily, the exact AED amount may vary. Today, Rs. 1,00,000 is approximately 4325.824 AED. You can check live rates in the in-app currency converter.

3. The limit resets every day at 12 AM IST.

Thank you. Can you also answer how much cash does dubai atm dispense in 1 transaction.

Also TCS is collected post 7l or 10L for any foreign expenses? If forex is ordered through NIyo (example 2.5 Lakhs) so this amount is also considered for calculating the limit for TCS?

Hi @srim,

We regret to inform you that we do not have information on the functioning or cash dispensing limits of international ATMs. We recommend checking with the respective ATM provider for specific limits.

Regarding TCS, it applies only if your international transactions exceed Rs. 7 lakhs under the LRS. However, we are still awaiting complete guidelines on LRS limits for the current financial year from our partner banks and will keep you posted once we receive further updates.

Assuming 7L is TCS limit, Can you please be bit more clear on if forex is ordered for 2.5L through Niyo app, will TCS limit be 4.5L or still 7L?

Hi @srim,

Please note that TCS is applicable only on the amount exceeding the prescribed limit. Based on your example, if your international transaction is Rs. 2.5 lakhs, there will be no TCS, but if your transaction is Rs. 8 lakhs and the TCS threshold is Rs. 7 lakhs, then TCS will be calculated only on the excess Rs. 1 lakh. Hey, i saw an email few days back which says there is some update regarding charges on niyo global card. Can you please explain if we have to bear charges on debit card now which was lifetime free until now?

Hi @Nalin_Ajmera,

Welcome to the Niyo Community! :hugs:

As per SBM Bank’s recent update, an Annual Maintenance Charge (AMC) of ₹423 + GST will be applicable from July 2025. However, this fee will be waived if you maintain an average monthly balance of ₹5,000 in the three months prior to your account anniversary.

For instance:

  • If your account was opened in September 2024, maintaining ₹5,000 in June, July, and August 2025 will waive the fee.

  • If your account was opened in or before July 2024, the waiver will apply if the balance is maintained in April, May, and June 2025.

Additionally, if you hold a Niyo SBM Secured Credit Card, the AMC will also be waived if you either maintain the ₹5,000 average balance or have an active FD under the credit card during the 10th, 11th, and 12th months prior to the anniversary. Meeting either condition is sufficient.

We hope this helps clarify your query. Let us know if you need any further assistance!
