Upon checking, we see that you have an account with SBM Bank. Please note that, currently, there’s no option to update your email address through the Niyo app.
To update your email address in the bank records, you can:
- Send an email from your registered email ID to SBM Bank at customercare@sbmbank.co.in requesting the update, or
- Visit an SBM Bank branch in person if you’re in India and prefer to handle it offline.
These are the only available options at the moment.

I created my Niyo Global account a few years ago, it was completely an online process and everything was smooth. A while ago my student life finished and I decided I no longer needed this account. I emailed the support team to request to close my account and to my absolute shock, they replied to me saying that my registered email address is different from my own email address and that I have to email them from my registered email address to complete my account closure request. Ironically to my comfort I found out that the registered email address they claim is my iCloud address with a “privaterelay.appleid.com” which is apple’s way of hiding our email address when we use iCloud to sign up for services. This is a very simple thing and something anyone with any technical knowledge on iPhones and Apple IDs can understand. To my surprise no body a Niyo global customer care team is able to understand this. I have been attempting to contact them at both the toll-free numbers 1800-1033-817 and 1800-209-9335 but these numbers NEVER NEVER connect us to an agent they just keep us waiting on the line. I have had many emails (Absolutely useless and helpless from niyo asking me to reply from the registered email address again and again without listening to and trying to understand my very obvious grievance. I wanted to share this here with you all. Please think ten times before opening an account with Niyo Global.

I clicked on the link but there is no update email option it seems. I have scheduled the call for tomorrow 9:00 am as when I tried to connect an agent now it’s not working.

I am trying for the VKYC for a while it is showing waiting for agent to connect. Let me see. But during the process I was able to discover my full privaterelay id
The connect to agent now feature is not working Nithin seemingly no agents are active. So I scheduled a meeting for 12:00 PM let me see if that’s works.
It was scheduled for 12:00 PM today which is now and Ive been trying and it still shows connecting to agent without any hope
