Dear Niyo Support Team,
I have been using my Niyo Global Debit Card smoothly for the past week in Singapore. However, since [insert date], the tap-to-pay feature has suddenly stopped working. This has created a lot of inconvenience as I rely on it daily for MRT travel and other transactions.
The card is still active, but the inability to make contactless payments is causing serious difficulties in a new country. I kindly request you to:
1. Check if there is any block or restriction placed on my card for contactless transactions.
2. Re-enable or reset the tap-to-pay functionality at the earliest.
3. Confirm if there are any transaction or usage limits that I should be aware of while using the card abroad.
This issue is urgent as I need the card for my daily commute and other essential payments. Please look into this on priority and update me with a quick resolution.
Hi @Poojan_Mehta,
Welcome to the Niyo Community!
We’re sorry to hear about the difficulty you’re facing with Tap & Pay transactions.
If you’re using the Niyo SBM debit card, kindly note: while the overall daily limit is ₹25,000, you can perform a maximum of 5 Tap & Pay transactions per day, with each capped at ₹5,000. If you’ve already reached this limit, you may continue transactions at the POS by swiping your card and entering your PIN.
If you are using a Niyo DCB debit card, please let us know so that we can check with the DCB bank, and we will assist you further.

I am using SBM bank debit card, previously I used equitos and I used to do travel deceleration. Now I am unable to do travel deceleration on SBM. Is it not needed or any limitations that is not allowing me to perform travel deceleration?
Hey Omkar!
Welcome to the Niyo Community!
Thanks for reaching out. With your Niyo SBM account, you don’t need to submit a travel declaration form anymore. The only requirement is to complete your Re-KYC whenever it’s prompted on the app or if you receive an email from SBM Bank.
Hope this clears things up! Feel free to ping us anytime if you’ve got more questions—we’re always here to help.

I topped up Opal card in Sydney Australia with $10. Amount charged by Neo DCB debit card was Rs 694.29 and additional amount of Rs 69.43.
These amounts are way above the exchange rate of approximately ₹57 with Australian dollar.
Please let me know the reason and help in understanding the problem and guidance for future spending.
PS. Within one hour as I was trying to contact and find the answer, the amount deducted as shown in my bank account has reduced to.Rs 578.58 and Rs 57.86. It is confusing. In any case additional amount of RS 57.86 is not understood..
