hi there, I would like a callback about niyo dcb annual fee and closing fee
your support page says there is no fee for first year, if I open account in 2025 January and close it before 2 year, there wont be any fee right ??
Thank you for your valuable time on the call, @Dheeraj_Ck. As discussed, we have escalated your callback request to the DCB Bank team, and they will be reaching out to you shortly. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Hi there,
1 - I havent got a call from them but I am going to trust niyo community support, you guys said that if a person opened free niyo dcb zero balance account on lets say january 10 2025 and closed it after 381 days, there wont be annual card maintanence fee or account closing fee
2 - You guys have been really helpful, but contacting global@goniyo.com was a waste of time, if niyo community support did customer support, I probably wouldnt be leaving niyo and dcb card. They are really incompetent, I dont know if social media team can do anything about it but I want to give a feedback about it.
Thank you Nithin, have a good day!
Hi there, do give a callback, I have a niyo global account with the same email right now
Hi @Dheeraj_Ck, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We understand your concern and truly appreciate your patience.
We’ve raised a request with the DCB Bank team regarding your query, and they will be reaching out to you shortly. We kindly request you to wait for some time.
For clarity on DCB account closure charges:
Within 30 days of first credit: Free
After 30 days but within 12 months: ₹250/-
After 12 months: Free
We appreciate your understanding and are here to assist you at every step.
Hi there,
Niyo advertise niyo dcb card as free zero balance account, but hides the annual maintenance card fee of 500 INR,
We have talked with DCB support and as of now they arent able to answer questions properly,
We would also like to say that niyo community support and dcb support is way better than niyo customer support right now,
Why Niyo charges and hides card fee and advertise as zero balance account,
Niyo says the card fee for first year is zero, does that mean if we block the card this year there wont be any maintenance fee next year,
Annual fee of card for next year shouldnt be charged if we have blocked the card now,
We demand niyo to discuss it with dcb and get back to us preferably in the community as niyo is misselling the account and card to users by hiding annual card fee and advertising as a zero balance account,
Thank you
Hi @Dheeraj_Ck,
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We sincerely apologize for any confusion caused.
To clarify, the annual maintenance charges (AMC) for the Niyo DCB card are determined by DCB Bank. These charges can be waived if an average quarterly balance of INR 5,000 is maintained in the account, which helps ensure that the card can remain effectively free for users who maintain the balance.
We understand your concerns about transparency and truly value your feedback, as it helps us improve communication and provide a better experience for all users.
We truly appreciate your patience and continued support.
Asking to keep minimum balance in a zero balance account doesnt make any sense, its clearly mis selling by niyo global, I have shared screenshots proving that here, if I am charged annual fee for the card which I have blocked I am going to file a consumer complaint against niyo and a complaint with rbi ombudsman against dcb for supporting mis selling and trying to scam people, niyo or dcb didnt answer the questions I have asked right now
@Dheeraj_Ck, thank you for sharing your concerns and feedback. We sincerely apologize for the confusion.
To clarify, the Niyo DCB Savings Account is a zero-balance account. The annual maintenance charges (AMC) you mentioned are for the DCB card, not the account itself, and these charges can be waived as per DCB Bank guidelines if an average quarterly balance of INR 5,000 is maintained.
As discussed on the call, you may proceed to close your account once you complete the account anniversary. If you need any assistance with this, you can reach out to DCB support at customercare@dcbbank.com and they will be happy to assist you.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to ensure a clear and smooth experience.
