Wait for some time, It will work. The app is still in beta so it takes time, to sum up, things. Or else you can submit a CKYC number by contacting support.

As we checked internally we highly regret saying this that we wont be able to onboard you at the moment as your CKYC data doesn’t match our requirements.

FYI: A CKYC record is updated only if you hold a Mutual Funds account or a Bank account. The chances are you might already have these,
but the bank or your mutual funds account partner might have not updated your KYC record in the directory.

While I write this we are working on an alternative for the same and shall update you’ll soon.

I have another Saving account with SBM bank, when I tried to open niyo SBM global account, app showed that ckyc not matched. Please help me to open Niyo SBM global account. I’m going to Georgia in September end for my studies.

Hi All,

I’m a new entrant to the Niyo Community - I’d tried applying for the old Niyo card last October, but for my address was not covered at that point.

While signing up, I faced two hurdles - I’m saying hurdles and not blocks, because the process itself jumped over both by itself. First one was in the KYC process - where everything was done but in the last instance, I got this message that the process is pending and I’ll be updated once it’s done. I DID NOT get any updates (possible bug), but when I logged in the next day, it was done and it took me to account creation. Here again, the first two steps got completed in seconds, and I got stuck at the third step - forgot what exactly that was - anyway, again I DID NOT get any mail/ msg updates, but when I logged in the next morning (today - 03 Sep 21) - it said account has been created.

The interface looks cool and easy to understand and use.

I loaded 5k onto the account and ordered the debit card - BUT the pending action notification still says ā€œorder your Signature Card for freeā€ - so I’m not sure if my service request for the card has been registered.

I’m travelling abroad as a student on 18 Sep, and hope to put the card to good use.

Two questions:

  1. Is there a different card for students?I’ve just ordered the Niyo Global by SBM one.

  2. The ā€˜no forex markup fees’ part - does it apply to all transactions across the board - like ATM withdrawals, POS transactions, online international purchases.

Also, please do add an option for NRI deposits for the truly global experience - in case that’s not already there.

Now coming to the questions,

  1. As of now, there’s no dedicated card for students. You may go ahead and use the Niyo Global VISA Signature ā€˜Tap & Pay’ Debit Card. The card is free for the first year, from the second year, you are charged ₹499/year (excl. GST).

  2. All the international transactions, be it ATM, POS, ECOM and Contactless transactions, ZERO Forex Markup is applied. However, for ATM transactions, you’re charged ₹100/trn from Niyo, additionally, you may be charged by the acquiring bank’s ATM.

Hi I am trying to create an account for Niyo X Savings Account. I am stuck at the photo match stage and it is not procecerding further, I have even changed the screen guard of my mobile in assumption that selfie camera is not working properly but I am still facing same issue. Also I tried connecting to your support using my query is not listed under Account Opening Process and it shows ā€œ We are experiencing some difficulty in processing. Could you please try again later?ā€

This shouldn’t have happened. Would you mind sharing the screenshot of the app where you’ve been stuck while onboarding for NiyoX? That helps us to have a better understanding and we would be able to fix the issue at the earliest.

I want to highlight such kind of irritated customer support you have. You dont have any number to call. it takes to you whatspp chat. and your people like imran shaik, they go on sleep. they reply after 40 min.and sometimes even after explaining everything disconnected the chat without reply. yesterday he same person did the same thing, today also.
