No refund (nearly 4 weeks)

I placed an order with Amazon US for an amount of 187.46 USD using my Niyo Equitas Debit card but had to cancel it for various reasons. My account was debited for the amount. This was on 7th May 24. I have still not received a refund for the said amount. I have tried communicating with all parties involved with little success. This is not a small amount. No one has been able to give me a convincing update.

Hi! I was not given a case number. I spoke to Niyo Support via chat and they asked me to contact Equitas Bank.

I received my refund after 32 days. I had the merchant confirm that it was indeed an authorization hold. Equitas Bank told me they hold onto funds from International Online Transactions for 31 days from the date of transaction. If the merchant confirm that they have not actually charged you and just placed a hold, do not waste your time worrying and contacting the bank and Niyo. Just wait until after 31 days and then raise a dispute if your money still hasn’t come back.
