I tried to create an account yesterday with Niyo Global and it gave an error of CKYC and Aadhar name mismatch. I am not sure of the reason as my CKYC is up-to-date and have recently opened an account with ICICI with same documents (Aadhar, PAN). All my existing bank accounts have a clear KYC status and are linked to the same PAN card and Aadhar.
Please let me know the exact issue and how can we resolve this. I will be travelling abroad next month and I was hoping to get a Niyo Global account and card for my convenience.
We understand that you’ve successfully opened an account with ICICI bank by submitting your documents (PAN and Aadhaar). However, the onboarding for Niyo Global by SBM is slightly different from the regular ones. It is based on CKYC. When our system tried to fetch your CKYC details, a name mismatch has been found in your documents. Your name in PAN is ADRITA CHAKRABORTY and in Aadhaar, it is Adrita Sumeet Chakraborty and in CKYC records, it is ATA RATHIN SARKAR. Due to this reason, we are unable to onboard you. We’d request you to update the same name in your PAN, Aadhaar and CKYC and then try onboarding for Niyo Global.
Thanks for the response. It is so strange that the CKYC reflects the pre marriage name which I had updated in 2016. Can I ask you how can I change it? It bothers me too as no other banks flagged this to me in last 6 years.
