I had taken travel insurance from Niyo for my trip to Thailand. My kid fell ill due to food poisoning and had to be treated at a hospital which I later claimed from Travel Insurance on 31st July. Just received the email for claim amount transfer to account. The entire process was straightforward and completely online. Thanks to Digit Insurance and Niyo.
PS: I am still fighting for a health insurance reimbursement claim from Care Insurance since June and from the looks of it I will have to fight it out in the Consumer Court. So this has been a pleasant surprise.
I have also previously claimed from Reliance travel insurance where they blocked my email and mobile after I submitted a claim, leaving me with no way to contact them. It was finally resolved after Policy Bazaar intervened.
Given the turbulent previous history of claims, this is a pleasant surprise.
