Re-KYC for Niyo SBM: Get help in this thread!

We understand that you are trying to make a credit card bill payment from your SBM Bank account. Kindly note that as your SBM account is frozen due to non-completion of Re-KYC, you will need to complete the Re-KYC process(you will have to be in India to proceed with KYC) to unfreeze it for fund transfers and other transactions such as credit card bill payments and international transactions.


However, since you are currently abroad, you can request temporary activation to make credit card bill payments and INR fund transfers.

We have built a feature in the app to help with this. Here’s how it works:

  • The app prompts you to fill in a few simple details.
  • Based on the input, a declaration form (as required by the bank) is auto-generated with pre-filled information.
  • The app will then guide you with clear instructions on the next steps.
  • Once you give your consent, an auto-generated email draft is created.
  • You will be prompted to attach two documents:
    • The generated declaration form.
    • A valid visa proof confirming that you are currently abroad.
  • The email will be sent to us with the subject line:
    “Currently Abroad: Please activate my account”
