One of the ATM machines (Denizi bank) in Cappadocia ate my Niyo SBM card when I tried to withdraw cash. I am unable to reach the toll free customer care numbers. Denizi bank customer care said I need to check with my bank and follow their process.
What do I do next? My card was working seamlessly until now and now am stranded with just some cash and nothing more. Please help!

Please reach out to me as soon as possible. Am reachable on my local registered phone number as well as mail. The local bank ATM where I lost the card claims you need to do something from your end. Am not sure what the actual procedure is.
Hi Arundhati, we tried connecting on a call with you but failed. As checked with the team we recommend you to reach out to SBM Bank at 1800-1033-817 directly or via email at customercare@sbmbank.co.in as they will be best equipped to assist you with this concern.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

Welcome to the Niyo Community!
Sorry to hear that you’ve lost your card in the ATM machine. For your safety, please follow these steps to block it immediately:
- Open the Niyo Global by SBM app and log in.
- Navigate to “Travel Essentials” and select “Card Settings.”
- You’ll see the option to block your card at the top right corner.
- Confirm the pop-up message that asks, “Do you want to permanently block your card?” to block it.
After blocking the card, you can place an order for a replacement card directly from the same page. Once the new card is delivered to your communication address, you can have a family member forward it to you abroad.
In the meantime, you can continue making transactions through internet banking or UPI. For any immediate assistance, feel free to reach out to our live in-app chat team or email global.escalation@goniyo.com Our team is here to help and guide you.
