Travelers of the World, Welcome Home! 🏠

Cherry Blossom is the ideal time to be in Japan, though I was there in October for business + vacation.
@Nishma
My tip even before you plan or commence travel is to book a hotel close to the train stations since they are cheap, convenient, and save a lot of hassle.
Above all, staying near a train station saves us from the exorbitantly priced taxi fares.

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:

I’m Uday, the Community Manager here at Niyo Global, and also someone who genuinely loves everything about travel - the planning, the chaos, the airport excitement, and of course the stories that come back with every trip. :airplane::globe_showing_europe_africa:

My role here is pretty simple: make this community the best place on the internet for international travellers from India. Whether it’s sharing visa updates, swapping travel hacks, finding hidden gems, or helping someone avoid an expensive airport mistake - this space is for all of us to learn from each other.

You’ll usually find me around the forum:

  • sharing global travel updates
  • organising traveller meetups
  • running fun travel contests for the community
  • and occasionally asking the community for their best (and worst) travel stories :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

A few quick things about me:

  • I love discovering budget travel hacks
  • Always curious about underrated destinations
  • And I strongly believe the best travel advice comes from real travellers, not guidebooks

If you’re new here - jump in, introduce yourself, and tell us where you’re travelling next or your favourite trip so far.

Looking forward to hearing your stories and building this traveller tribe together. :globe_showing_asia_australia:

I love this “Travelers of the World, Welcome Home” thread — as someone who calls Miami home, I feel like half the world thinks of it as a dream destination. When friends visit, I always try to bring that homey vibe — soft lights, music, good food. I even slipped in a custom neon piece from Miamineon in my living room so visiting friends feel like they’re walking into something warm and familiar, not just a guest spot.

Hello everyone! I’m Suryaprabha, a Community Intern with Niyo, based in Bangalore.

While I haven’t embarked on extensive travels yet, I’m an aspiring traveler deeply inspired by the experienced travelers here and hope to travel as much. My travels have been limited to domestic locations but I’ve genuinely enjoyed every moment of it. :globe_showing_europe_africa:

Fun Fact about me - As a travel geek, I might surprise you with a random travel fun fact. (Know way too many to keep to myself)

Reach out to me for anything and everything related to Niyo and the Niyo Community. I’m also happy to help with writing, marketing, or simply for a fun chat!

That is so thoughtful, @shanewarne. I bet your friends absolutely love how you make a ‘dream destination’ feel instantly like home.
