Singapore Tourist Visa for Indians

Singapore is a favourite among solo travellers, couples and even families and groups who want to experience a short and quick visit to a developed country. But as always, it is very important to check the visa regulations before planning a visit to this island country.

This Singapore Tourist Visa for Indians thread is specifically to share latest and accurate information about the Singapore tourist visa as applicable to an Indian passport holder.

This is the current visa rule (as of July 2024):

  • Indian passport holders must have a visa beforehand to enter Singapore as tourists
  • Currently, e-visas are issued in India only through authorised visa agents - refer list and contact details here: https://www.mfa.gov.sg/Overseas-Mission/New-Delhi/Consular-Services/Visa-Information/Authorised-Visa-Agents
  • The visa is typically issued for 30 days of travel within Singapore with a visa validity period of upto 2 years (multiple entry)
  • Once the e-visa is issued, changes cannot be made and it is best to immediately notify errors to the authorised agent to avoid deportation or prevent entry-related issues at the border / airport upon arrival

Alternative ways to apply for Singapore visa:

  • apply via a resident in Singapore who can apply on your behalf and send you the visa by email
  • apply in person at a Singapore High Commission, Embassy or Consulate in a third country if you are resident/tourist there by writing an email to the official email ID of the office
  • apply for VFTF transit facility if you are transiting to an eligible third country (such as Australia, US, etc.) and have a visa for that country (see more details here: ICA | Visa Free Transit Facility)
