Please allow niyo global card to be able to add in google wallet so that users can go cardless and tap and pay via their phone nfc.

We have included NFC payments in our development pipeline and are working on its implementation. While I can’t provide an exact timeline just yet, you can rest assured that it’s coming your way pretty soon. Keep an eye on this space for updates, as we are working to make this available to you as soon as possible!

Hey @Yohaan_Vakil Niyo cards don’t support NFC-based contactless payments yet, but it will be available soon! 
In the meantime, keep using UPI with your Niyo account and enjoy amazing UPI cashback on transactions! 
It is still not available, I don’t like carrying my wallet with me, NFC feature would greatly increase the safety.

In August 2023, the official response stated:
“We have included NFC payments in our development pipeline and are working on its implementation.”
Today it’s June 2026.
It’s been more than 3.5 years since this request was first raised and nearly 3 years since we were told that development had already begun. Yet every new comment still receives essentially the same generic response:

“We’re actively working on this feature.”

“It will be available in the future.”

“We’ll notify you once it’s live.”
At this point, those responses don’t provide any meaningful information.
This feature isn’t being requested out of curiosity. Many people choose travel cards because they’re moving abroad for studies or work. If someone requested this feature in 2022 before leaving for Europe, they could have completed their entire degree by now while still waiting for the same “coming soon” response. By the time the feature is finally released, it may no longer benefit the customers who originally requested it.
There are already several competing travel cards that support Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet. Customers compare these features when deciding which card to use. Waiting over three years without a meaningful update naturally affects that decision.
Can we please get a response from the Product or Development team, rather than another standard customer support reply?
I’m not asking for an exact launch date, but after more than three years, can you at least provide a realistic status update?

Is the feature still actively under development? If yes, what is causing the delay? Do you consider 3.5 years a reasonable timeline for this functionality? If the feature is not being actively developed, why has this not been clearly communicated instead of repeated “coming soon” responses over the years?

If there is an internal roadmap, can you at least share the expected quarter (for example, Q3 2026, Q4 2026, or 2027)?

If there is no planned timeline, please be transparent and let the community know.
Please don’t reply with another “we’re working on it” message. After more than three and a half years, the community deserves a factual and transparent update from someone who is directly involved with the product roadmap.
