Hello @aky.mtl! Here are some tips for your Hong Kong and Macau trip that go beyond the basics and add a local flavor!

Logistics:

  • Visa Needs: Indian passport holders can stay visa-free in Hong Kong for 14 days and in Macau for 30 days. It’s always good to double-check any recent changes on the respective immigration sites.

  • Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge: Buses run frequently, but ferry options are limited now. Combined transit tickets are a smooth way to travel if you’re doing both cities.

  • Octopus Card :credit_card:: Super useful in Hong Kong for transport, small purchases, and even discounts. Grab it at the airport for convenience.

  • MTR App: Download for easy public transit routes and real-time updates!

Hi! How exciting that you’re heading to Hong Kong and Macau tomorrow! For logistics, the Hong Kong MTR is super efficient for getting around, and the Star Ferry is a cheap, scenic way to cross Victoria Harbour. In Macau, the free casino shuttles are handy for moving between major spots. For unique experiences, check out the night markets in Mong Kok for cool trinkets and street vibes, and don’t miss the Taipa Village in Macau for a quieter, cultural feel. Food-wise, try dim sum at Tim Ho Wan in Hong Kong and Portuguese egg tarts at Lord Stow’s Bakery in Macau—they’re amazing! How long are you staying in each place?
