Hi community, we are going malaysia coming January 12. We need to exchange MYR in India itself or we take 3000Myr in atm in KLIA TERMINAL 2. Which is better option. Kindly poir your suggestions. TIA

I didn’t carry any MYR from India based on my usage I withdrew once only at Airport ATM the charges were very minimal using NIYO DCB card.
It is easy and convenient too

Carry the minimal cash from India for airport transfer only. Use niyo card for cash withdrawal, Maybank is good. You can take the cash from orient exchange for good rates.

It will be convenient to carry it from India, you get the best exchange rate, i have used it through orient exchange and once you come back you can return it to exchange agents to get almost same or more money for exchange. It makes a lot of difference rather withdrawing at the airport as airport has lot of charges involved.

Hey @Dinesh1998. I’d recommend carry MYR from india . I used Orient exchange for the forex and they had the best rates
I used Niyo Card as well and it worked perfectly wherever card was accepted

Take cash from India and change there. There are many exchange shops near the pavilion mall (Kuala Lumpur). Search and negotiate for the best rate. There is one in lalaport mall (lvl b1/b2). It offers the best rate, even better than you find in India.
