Dish name: Raw cabbage :leafy_green:, 100% vegetarian

Here’s my most memorable & unforgettable food experience

Raw full cabbage Yes you read it right. In Vienna, on my first Europe travel in 2009, I had met one girl from Australia and another from Brazil and we set out for an evening together and came upon an outdoor music event that we joined in. There were many food stalls and we decided to grab a bite. Whilst they went about ordering their food, I asked in one of the stalls if there was anything Vegetarian. The response was “what is vegetarian?” And I am like - fruits, vegetables, no meat, no chicken, no fish, no egg and he goes “Ah”. Bends down and picks up one full cabbage - offers it to me and says “vegetarian, 2 Euros”. I didn’t know whether to laugh or go hungry and ended up buying fries despite knowing they were fried in the same oil as chicken et al

P.S- not posting the photo of the raw cabbage as am sure all of you know what it looks like :sweat_smile:
