Is the cc and dc same?

Hey guy, as I can see on the niyo global app, I’ve been given a virtual debit card, however to make international transactions I’d have to make a 5k FD and get a cc against it. Now my query is, why can’t I get a Debit card against my savings on the app. Or is the credit card and debit card the same ?

Niyo Global SBM debit card has been paused for international transactions as per RBI guidelines. Using Niyo Global Secured Credit card by SBM you can initiate international transactions.
