If you’re traveling across Vietnam, you’ll see VNPAY QR codes practically everywhere - at local cafes, street food vendors, taxis, markets, and retail outlets.

What is VNPAY & Is it only for Vietnam?

Yes, VNPAY is exclusively for ! It’s Vietnam’s equivalent of Paytm/UPI. Since smaller shops and street vendors don’t always have credit card swiping machines, VNPAY QR bridges that gap so you can pay digitally directly using your card.

:wrapped_gift: Active Visa Rewards on VNPAY

When you link an international Visa Card (like your Niyo Global Card) to the VNPAY app, you can unlock active QR payment discounts:

  • 10% Visa QR Discount (VNPAYVISA): Enter promo code VNPAYVISA on the payment screen to get 10% off (up to 100,000 VND) when scanning VNPAY QR codes with a linked Visa card.

  • In-Store QR Standee Codes: Local retail chains and cafes (like Highlands Coffee, WinMart, etc.) often display specific discount promo codes directly on their printed QR standees - enter them at checkout to instantly reduce your bill!

:rocket: How to set it up & test it out (Step-by-Step Guide)

We want you to test linking your Niyo Global Card to VNPAY and try out a QR payment! Here’s how:

:one: Download the App: Install VNPAY from the App Store or Google Play Store.

:two: Register: Sign up using your mobile number, fill in basic traveler details (Passport info), and set a 6-digit PIN.

:three: Link your Niyo Card:

  • Go to “Account” ➔ “Linked Cards”.

  • Select Visa / International Card.

Enter your Niyo Global Card details and verify via OTP.

:four: Scan & Pay with Discounts:

  • Scan any VNPAY QR standee at a store.

  • On the payment screen, tap Select Promo Code / Voucher and try applying VNPAYVISA.

  • Select your linked Niyo Card as the payment source, enter your PIN, and authorize!
