I am absolutely appalled by the recent charges that have been wrongly applied to my account. in February, I was charge for maintenance fee, which is completely unjustified as this was not communicated while opening the account. I have reviewed my records and there is no legitimate reason for this fee. there was no prior notification about this fee.
I have already contacted customer service several times, and yet, I still have not received a satisfactory explanation or resolution. This is completely unacceptable.
I demand immediate reversal of this fee.

We regret any confusion regarding the charges, which are detailed in the Profile section and the bank’s Schedule of Charges (SOC). Equitas Bank levies Rs.199 + GST as a card order fee. We, Niyo, refunded this as a one-time complimentary benefit, but the bank applies this annually. This charge can be avoided by blocking the card (note: ATM/POS transactions won’t be possible without it).
As a gesture, Niyo currently offers 2500 Niyo Coins, redeemable for flight bookings and visa applications via the Niyo app. Please feel free to reach out to our in-app chat support team or write us at global@goniyo.com, if you need any further clarification. 
I don’t need coins I want the refund… I don’t see the refund in my account yet. While I was taking the card none of this was mentioned that there will be annual charges.

We regret any inconvenience caused. The information regarding the charges has been communicated to users via in-app push notifications and banners. Unfortunately, we are unable to process a cash refund for the bank-imposed charges as per their schedule of charges.

We totally understand how you feel! However, as mentioned earlier, the charges can only be reversed in Niyo coins for in-app purchases. We appreciate your understanding!
