Traveling on a Budget - Free Hop On Bus in Japan

During the recent meetup in Pune, several attendees asked for tips on traveling on a low budget.
One of the options I found during my recent visit to Hiroshima was the free HopOn-HopOff bus.
Yes! This was a completely free city tour bus.

Most travelers to Japan opt for the JR Pass, an exclusive pre-purchased ticket for budget traveling within Japan.

The JR Pass can also be used to access the free city tour bus in Hiroshima.

After arriving at the Hiroshima train station, head to the information center. They will generously share the route and timetable for the free tour bus.

The bus is stationed outside the information center.

Show your JR Pass when boarding the bus and you can have a free seat aboard the city tour bus. There are 4 routes within Hiroshima named Orange, Purple, Red, and Yellow route and each takes you to various places in Hiroshima like the castle, the Atomic Dome site, the market, and so on.

Hope you avail of this free service using this hip travel tip!! :star_struck:
