So I booked my flight through Affluence Travels and messed up while entering my last name — there was a small spelling mistake from my side while sending details to them. I realized it later and asked them to correct it, and to my surprise, they actually got it fixed without much hassle.
Now my ticket shows the correct name, which is great, but I’m just curious — how do they even do this?
Do agents have some special way to update the airline system?
Or do they cancel and reissue the ticket completely?
Are there usually extra charges for this kind of fix?
Just wondering if anyone here knows the behind-the-scenes process, or if you’ve ever had a similar experience.
