Nestled in the heart of Purulia district lies the charming village of Baranti. Known for its stunning sunsets, the sky comes alive with vibrant shades of yellow and red, casting a magical reflection on the tranquil waters.
Getting There: Reach Baranti via Murudi Railway Station on the Asansol-Adra line. Buses and cars from Purulia offer convenient transportation options.
Come, discover the serene beauty of Baranti and experience nature’s splendor like never before.
Throwback to a couple of years ago when I snapped this picture with a basic camera phone.
I must say, Bungus Valley is a hidden gem of Kashmir, especially around Handwara. This shot is from my Nani’s place in Mawar, connected to Bungus. It’s a stunning place with meadows, snow-capped mountains, forests, and streams.
P.S- The water looks a bit murky here because it had just rained heavily before I arrived.
When I visited Cham Island in 2023, I felt like I had stumbled upon one of Vietnam’s best-kept secrets. As soon as I slipped into the water with my snorkel, I was surrounded by a world teeming with life—vibrant coral gardens in every color imaginable.
The island, part of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, felt like a hidden underwater paradise. Unlike the crowded tourist spots, here it was just me, the crystal-clear water, and the unspoiled marine life. It was a peaceful escape, where every dive revealed something new and beautiful beneath the surface. The whole experience left me in awe of the island’s natural beauty and its still relatively untouched charm.

I don’t have pictures but 4 years ago when I visited Goa I went to a beach called as butterfly beach to which we have to walk approximately around 1-2 km
On the day when I visited it was around 4 pm
From morning we were roaming we followed google maps and went to 2 other places those were water falls but as it was Summer there was no water and water fall was vanished and at last we dint have anything just breakfast in the morning n went to last destination of the day everyone were very hungry we reached the destination n walked 1-1.5 km everyone thought even it will be like other 2 places even this one disappoints us but at last we reached the shores of beach it was amazing
It is hidden inside water was so clean it was nice place
This beach is one my personal favorite, located in a small village named Manapad. Long stretch of clean sandy beach (except Nov - Feb 1st week). Water is cleaner and you can see small fishes in every waves hitting the beach… Last time I went there, a pod of Sperm Whale (more than 40) had lost their way and reached here…
Best part is there are three different part of beach - one will have almost still water (good for kayaking),, one part small to medium waves (they teach surfing there) and towards end of beach large waves (professional surfing happens there). There is a beautiful homestay some 50-100 meters from the beach. If you want a beach to yourself, hit this place any time between Jan end to Nov..
Here is my one more finding in ooty which is must visit but with a disclaimer. this is not free for casual visit as it is heavily guarded by forest dept. You need to gain access through your rapport with guard or obtain NOC from head office in ooty. It takes you to the top most dam in deep woods of nilgiris where you wont find any human activities for about 30kms frm last house in thaishola tea estate.
Once u r in ooty, keep a day to visit this dam and be back safely before it gets dark. take a route towards emerald lake and reach manjur from which you keep getting deeper into thick jungle, which is same as we see in infamous wrong turn movie. be ready to be surprised by sambar deer that can be spotted at any sharp turns u get across. this will be as closer as u get into undisturbed jungle.
Disclaimer: Do respect the nature and contribute your bit by enjoying the nature without disturbing it much. here are some glimpses while I will share my dashcam video tomorrow to give u fair idea on this hidden heaven.
Plus, his thrilling discovery in Ooty, hidden deep in the Nilgiris forest , truly stood out. A hidden gem that takes you off the grid and into nature’s heart!
