2025's Last Look: The Ultimate Travel Rewind ✨

:camera_with_flash: Throwback Thursday: Core Memories

Hello Niyozens! :waving_hand::grin:

The year is almost over! While we might be back at our desks, our hearts are still stuck somewhere between a mountain peak and a sunset beach. :beach_with_umbrella::mountain:

We want to see the best of the best. Forget the filters, let’s talk about the feeling.

Your Challenge: Post the single best photo you took this year and tell us: What core memory did that picture capture?

  • Was it the moment you finally reached a challenging summit? :person_climbing:
  • Was it the unexpected encounter that changed your trip? :monkey:
  • Was it just five minutes of perfect peace and quiet? :person_in_lotus_position:

Don’t just share the picture, share the story behind the shutter click! :backhand_index_pointing_down:

Unleash the nostalgia! :backhand_index_pointing_down:

:palm_tree: The Sweet Silence of Krabi: Where I Finally Got Lost (and Found Peace)

Hey Niyo Travellers! :waving_hand: As we kick off our exciting series this month, I’m excited to kick it off by sharing my best experience of the year. Let me go first!

I wanted to share a moment that wasn’t about adrenaline but pure, restorative calm.

I’ve been to Thailand before, but I always felt swept up in the beautiful chaos of its busy cities. This year, Krabi offered something completely different, and Ao Nang Beach (on a weekday) was the epicenter of that feeling.

The Memory:

This picture isn’t just a postcard shot of sand and sea. It captures the moment I finally felt the weight of the year lift off my shoulders. The crowds were noticeably thinner than in other Thai hotspots, and the atmosphere was just… slower. It was permission to breathe deep.

I literally just walked for hours, letting the sound of the waves replace the noise in my head. I got totally lost in nature, and honestly, that’s where I found a lot of peace of mind. That’s the real magic of travel, it gives you back the space to just be.

If you need a sign to slow down, this is it! Go find your Krabi.

Now It’s Your Turn! :star_struck:

Your challenge for Week 1 of Travel Rewind is simple:

Post the single best photo you took this year and tell us: What core memory did that picture capture?

We want to see the feeling, the story, and the “why” behind the snap!

This is Mango sticky rice, i ate in thailand. It is special to me because it gave comfort when I was alone, felt familiar yet new, and became a small moment of happiness during my travels

That photo was taken just before sunrise in Cappadocia, Turkey. The moment I realized I was floating between two worlds. There is a specific kind of magic that happens during golden hour on the Bosphorus. With Europe on one side and Asia on the other, I felt small in the best way possible. It captures the feeling of being completely present, caught between continents, suspended in time, and perfectly at peace.
