We all know travel rarely follows the script. That famous sunset spot was cloudy :sun_behind_large_cloud:. That “secluded” beach was packed with crowds. That budget flight was… well, an adventure. :exploding_head:

Expectation vs Reality: The Lempuyang Temple Edition (Bali)

Expectation: A dreamy, serene reflection shot at the Gates of Heaven.
Reality: Five hours in a queue under the Bali sun, one photo spot, and a lot of waiting. :sweat_smile:

We reached around 12:30 PM, and our turn finally came at 5:15–5:30 PM, just in time for sunset.
Honestly, the wait was way too long… but the memories (and that golden-horizon shot!) made it totally worth it.
Spent an entire day just to get that one mirror pic :stuck_out_tongue:

PS: I have seen numerous pictures of people in Bali with this click; it was kind of a shock to see how it was clicked! (I only got to know that once I was there :stuck_out_tongue: )

Expectation vs reality applies to food too whilst traveling…Here’s my experience from a couple of days back. On a cold super windy day in Puerto Natales, Chile, I set out for some hot vegetarian food and found a place that promised a vegetarian pizza . I expected one with basic cheese and tomatoes like I had gotten in Santiago and instead, this is what I got (see the photo) & me wondering if it was a salad masked as a pizza or sautéd veggies and also- how am I supposed to even eat it :joy:
