Travel Community Meetups Across India! 🌍

Hello everyone, just wanted to say a big thank you to all whom I met at the meetup! It was great connecting, sharing ideas, and having such a fun time. Hope travel with you’ll too!

Missed this one. But good to see soooo many folks :smiling_face:

Hi.. yess.Misseed you.. C u in next meetup

:cloud_with_rain: BANGALORE RAINS TO DELHI HEAT :sun: — One week, two incredible meetups with the Niyo Travel Community! :blue_heart:

Last week, we hosted two back-to-back meetups with the Niyo Travel Community — one in Bengaluru and the other in Delhi — and both turned out to be super special! :blue_heart:

In Bengaluru, despite the rains, the energy was amazing. Travelers came together to swap stories, share tips, and connect with fellow wanderers.
From first-time explorers to people who’ve visited 80+ countries, everyone had something valuable to share.

Some of the topics we ended up diving into:
:globe_showing_europe_africa: Budget travel planning
:round_pushpin: Visa-friendly destinations
:credit_card: Smart forex usage
:backpack: Backpacking experiences
:person_in_lotus_position: Slow and cultural travel
:luggage: And even a sneak peek into what Niyo is building next for travelers :eyes:

Then came Delhi… and while the heat was intense, the crowd was even more intense!
We actually ran out of chairs — the space filled up fast and the energy stayed high till the end. From border-crossing hacks to passport stamp stories, the meetup turned into a full-on travel knowledge exchange.

A big thank you to our wonderful hosts in both cities and to each one of you who joined us — your stories, questions, and curiosity made it all worth it. :raising_hands:

Thats such a wonderful initiative Its amazing to see travel lovers coming together and sharing experiences through these meetups it really helps people discover new places and build genuine connections. I recently read an article on group travel insights that mentioned how meeting like minded travelers can make journeys more meaningful and memorable. Are these meetups planned to happen regularly or just for a few selected cities?

Hi @smithjn

That’s so kind of you to say! We’re glad you agree, connecting with like-minded folks makes group travel so much better -that’s exactly what we’re going for.

Yes, these meetups are planned to happen regularly! For now, we’re focused on a select few cities, and we’re excited to announce our next one is in Mumbai next month! Here’s the link MUMBAI TRAVELERS MEET-UP BY NIYO TRAVEL COMMUNITY · Luma

Hope to see you there!

Still Buzzing from Mumbai! :airplane:

Hey Niyo Travellers!

Seriously, we are still riding the wave of inspiration from our fantastic meet-up in Mumbai last Saturday! It wasn’t just a meeting - it felt like a massive catch-up with the best travel friends ever.

Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for showing up. Your energy and enthusiasm are truly what fuel this whole Niyo community!

What We Loved:

  • The Deep Dive: Getting real about travel! We discussed budgeting hacks (zero-forex FTW!) and shared tips, off-the-beaten-path destinations.

  • The Connection: Watching new friendships form was the best part. It’s always amazing to see travellers connect over shared plans and past adventures.

  • Your Contributions: A massive thank you to everyone who dropped a question, shared a lesson, or gave us feedback on how to make the Niyo platform even better. We hear you, and we’re already working on it!

A Shout-Out to Our Host:

Huge thanks to our amazing host - @Priyank_Mahajan Your great energy kept the discussions sharp and focused the whole time. Thank you for making the flow so perfect!

Building Real Travel Connections: Highlights from Our Delhi Community Meetup :airplane::globe_showing_europe_africa:

Our recent community meetup in Delhi was a strong reminder of the power of bringing travellers together - not just to share stories, but to exchange meaningful, experience-backed insights.

Despite a city-wide cab disruption that impacted attendance, the engagement and quality of conversations stood out. What began as a scheduled meetup quickly evolved into an event of deep discussions, with attendees continuing to network and share long after the event officially concluded.

Here are some of the key insights that emerged from the session:

Visa Realities & Travel Planning
Travellers highlighted how visa outcomes can sometimes be influenced by regional travel patterns, especially for destinations like Hong Kong. The importance of clear documentation and demonstrating strong travel intent was a recurring theme.

Solo Travel Safety
For first-time or solo travellers, destinations like Singapore were widely regarded as safer and more structured, offering a smoother travel experience compared to more complex destinations.

Navigating Remote Terrains
A practical takeaway - avoid relying solely on in-built vehicle navigation systems in mountainous regions. Cross-checking routes can help prevent misdirection, especially where walking paths may be incorrectly suggested.

The Value of a Global Network
One of the most impactful discussions centered around building connections across geographies. A strong travel network can unlock not just local insights, but also support systems such as stays and on-ground guidance - particularly valuable for frequent and budget travellers.

A special thank you to our host and all the attendees who made the effort to join us despite the challenges. Your energy, openness, and willingness to share made this meetup truly meaningful.

What truly stood out was the spirit of the community - open, helpful, and deeply engaged.

At Niyo, we believe that the best travel advice doesn’t just come from guides - it comes from people who’ve lived the experience.

Here’s to building more such communities and enabling smarter, more connected travel.
