Last year, I was fortunate to visit two of Japan’s most iconic landmarks - the Tokyo Tower and Mount Fuji.
The Tokyo Tower with its distinctive emojis, is probably the country’s most recognized landmark.
Tokyo has four observation decks.
The other are:
- Shibuya Sky.
- Tokyo Sky Tree
- Tokyo Municipal building.
Of these, #4 is free.
I purchased the tickets in advance via Klook.
Entrance is only during the designated time slot
This is done to avoid a rush at the observation deck.
The Tokyo Tower is remarkably similar to the Eiffel Tower, though not as tall.
The Tokyo SkyTree is both modern and taller.
But Tokyo Tower has a distinct charm and familiarity as an icon of Tokyo.
Enjoy the panoramic views from the top.
The observation deck offers a stunning perspective of the city skyline.
Go there late evening when the city lights up beautifully.
The experience was smooth with well-organized ticketing and helpful staff.
There are also souvenir shops and other facilities like a food truck at the base of the tower.
How to Reach
By Tokyo Metro, the nearest station is the Shibakoen Station on the blue Mita Line.
Where to Eat
The Double Tall Cafe is a must-visit if you are in that area.
