Why are recurring transactions getting declined?

We have received complaints of SBM debit card not working on recurring payments.

The new RBI guidelines around recurring payments mandates that card issuers can only process auto-debit transactions for such merchants who are registered with us for SI transactions and they should also initiate a pre-debit notification to customers at least 24 hours before the payment is due.

Many international merchants are not registered with us for this SI mandate authentication. As per the RBI guidelines, we are declining such transactions keeping your safety in mind to avoid any possibility of fraud.

We request you to remove the mandate from the merchant and initiate the transaction as a standalone transaction.
