Unable to activate debit card

I opened my Niyo IDFC first account yesterday and got the digital card issued today. While activating the card through “activate via web” option, I am asked to fetch the card number by inputting an OTP.
Even after inputting correct OTP, I am consistently getting the message that “OTP Verification Failed - Your device is playing hard-to-get. I recommend we try again”. I have tried atleast 10 times but to no avail!

Have you tried updating the app to the latest version? If no, please try and contact us through the Whatsapp along with the registered mobile number & we will assist you in a jiffy.

I have contacted Niyo over whatsapp from my registered mobile number over an hour back…eagerly waiting for the resolution
