# My card gets declined in UK supermarkets

My transaction shows that it declines when i swipe or tap at a supermarket.  
May i know why is this? How to solve?

Hi  
You might have not unlocked your card for PoS transactions in international grounds through app. Go to yiur card setting, u can check that out from there. Been there done that 🙂

Hello @aj122526! We see that the first transaction with the merchant ‘ILFORD SST ILFORD GB’ was successful. Upon checking, the second transaction declined for reasons shown as ‘Customer opted to decline this transaction by preference’. We request you to try again and It should be successful. -WB

Yes but i tried twice with self checkout at the sathsbury store and it declined . But the amount was refunded. I couldnt type atm pin also. It gets decline straight away
