The transportation within Israel is effective and contemporary. The main part of the system is a great system of buses and a high-speed train that unites such big cities as Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

**Key Essentials**

- **Price:** Use Rav-Kav card or apps such as Moovit or HopOn. Cash is not accepted on buses.

- **Shabbat:** The majority of the public transportation (except in Haifa and certain shuttles in Tel Aviv) ceases on Friday evening and all of Saturday night.

- **Apps:** Go with Moovit in real-time arrivals and Gett in cabs.
